I don't recall what I did, but view is set to category. I think I found something on the personalization screen that gave me that option. I will look further. I did find, however, that Calibre 64 does not work. Stick with Calibre 32.

Might also want to check into an open source program called Classic Shell. I use it on Windows 7 to get a few things to act more like WinXP. I thought one of their recent updates was to put a Start Menu button back in Windows 8....

It's highly customizable - so you can keep the things you like in the new OS. For example, one of the things in Classic Shell for Windows 7 was to make the behavior for copying files look more like it did in WinXP. I *liked* the fact that it now gives you options when it finds duplicates, so I didn't use that tweak. But apparently it was something that bugged a lot of people (based on what I saw on the Classic Shell web page).

Go to the Windows 8 Store, and type windows 7 in the search bar. You will come up with a bunch of options, and it is safer to download them from the Microsoft Store.

Oh, there's SO many I'm ticked I missed out on. But I'm LOL, I literally just went through this as well. had my finger on the 'buy' button, but flaked out. I hate buying mid-series. And I really want Dream Man series first. Gah, decisions, decisions

I bought it. Only just finished Rock Chick 5 a few hours ago so I still have 3 more Rock Chick, 3 Dream Man and 1 Colorado way ahead of Jagged. I figure the others might very well go on sale or be couponable again before I get to Jagged.

With I had gotten that one back then too. I did just take my first trip to Mexico to buy a six book Dune bundle. Hopefully no problems will arise from the trip.

Wow I have been cleaning like a mad woman! I am getting the place ready for Christmas! I am exhausted. I got my Kindle Fire HD and it has been keeping me company all day playing Christmas music. So far I love it. No complaints. It has all the features of the HDX I love but Mayday which is a plus in my book. It has Goodreads integration too!

The text looks good to me maybe not flawless but I really can't tell too much of a difference between the text rendering on the HDX vs the HD. The Nexus 7 still wins though on that. The KFHD2 has a warmer light which I love no blue tint.

I think your SO will love one! I find the sound better on the HD than the HDX 7 without a case on. It's loud! the HDX isn't that loud. So the HD wins on Sound after owning 3 I immediately notice a huge difference in sound. I have never tested the Nexus 7 sound yet!

The HD is a tad slower than the HDX or Nexus but I really don't think that's a real issue because it's still plenty fast for a tablet.
