Kindle MatchBook: Get the Kindle version of a previously-bought paper book cheap/free - Page 7

I have two. One from a small press, one from Avon/HC. When I have time I'm going to go back and look at my Amazon orders to see what paper books I've bought over the years that aren't included.

I had 2 and the really shocking thing was it was books I had bought for myself and not as gifts. (I won't get them because they are $3.99 and when it comes to duplication of existing books I hold out for free).

In a thread in the Kindle forum VydorScope mentions his books being opted in, but not available as MatchBook's yet so all the available books might not be "online" yet.

Yep. I have heard form other authors the same. So more to come.

Only 2 for me right now.

I see that if you go to the product page (for the book or Kindle edition) it will say matchbook option is available (for the book, the information is on the right if you scroll down a little)

Only two come up for me, and one is my husband's book.

I find it odd that the Matchbook offer isn't more prominently displayed on paperback product pages.

I have to scroll down in order to see it.

Oh well ... can't really get too upset over not getting a huge bonus (especially one that I wasn't ever expecting to get in the first place).

I only had one, but I did get it. I bought it before I had an e-reader, and the type was fairly small and was also not printed dark enough, so it was a pain to read. Now I can make the print how I want it. Yay!

Now, how can I matchbooks I didn't buy from amazon. I haven't bought the bulk of my pbooks from them.. I bought most of them from Barnes & Noble, I had been a member of their discount club for years. You know, pay $25 (I think it was) and get some % off each purchase.

Matchbook shows 0 matches for me. That said, I haven't bought any pbooks since I got my Kindle classic, when did those come out?

I think I've bought around 4-6 pbooks for myself since I got my Sony 505 in '07, although I have bought a few as gifts too.

I found nine matches and bought two of them: a Doris Lessing and a Brad Meltzer.

Considering the number of books that I have bought since my first Amazon purchase in 1999 that is a disappointment.
