Yeah thought so too. It has First Ink in it though and I was going to pay full price for that one which does not come out till Sept but now I get it this month! To me 99 cents is well worth it just to be able to put together all the tidbits she posted over the past few months.

Now I wait her next book Branded which she is also teasing me with. I like she is branching out doing non paranormal stories.

Loosheesh, Tangle of Need is already available in paperback, which means it should be 7.99 or less if you are outside the US. And, if Penguin follows the pattern from Kiss of Snow and Tangle of Need, Heart of Obsidian should be available in Dec/ Jan.

It's so frustrating. Just spent 20 minutes searching books that aren't on special offer here (and I was careful about the dates on the thread in case they'd timed out.) How can that be? I thought Amazon had the same price across the world? (I live in the UK)

It should be but it's not, at least at Kobo. Tangle of Need is $8.69 from Orion and $12.99 from Penguin (and Heart of Obsidian is $12.59 from Orion and $18.69 from Penguin).

The regular pricing seems to be $8.69 for Orion and $6.59 for Penguin; it's strange that the price for Tangle of Need hasn't changed over yet (maybe they forgot to update it )

It's very frustrating - prices, even via the .com site are not always international, we have the same issue here in Canada. It's so ridiculous with eBooks - exchange rates I can understand, but there is no other reason I can think of that an eBook should cost more in other countries.

I was introduced to TunnelBear and VPNs on this site, they might help you get the prices you want.

Sometimes the varying prices on a book are because of the different publishers in the different countries. Just from my post above you will notice the big difference in the price of Heart of Obsidian between the two publishers, Orion and Penguin.

I want The Light Between the Oceans; it's published by Scribner for $11.66 and Tom David for $3.99. Both prices are available to me; guess which one I'll choose

Even release dates are affected by this craziness. Ben Aaronovitch's Broken Homes was available in the UK from Jul 25; it's coming to the US on Feb 14, 2014
