So Geoff - this means I can use the KoboTouch plug-in to set the shelves on the AURA automatically? If not, please explain.

Today, I am using the Kindle Collections plug-in to manage and organize my series. Can the above plug-in do the same if I was to purchase the AURA (please say yes because I am loving this device - LOL!)

Thanks Mostly Math Had a bit of trouble of finding this thread, but your information was more than plentiful. Still, I do have two questions to ask (see below), if you don't mind.

Looks like a grear E-reader. Good job Kobo! One thing I noticed, however, is the glare showing up in the pictures. Mostly Math, did you use flash for the photographs? Can you tell us if there is any glare issue with the Aura, any more so than with other devices? Also I noticed that blackness of the font is uneven in some of the pictures, but that's the due the focusing, I suppose. Is the black evenly black on the page and that deep as it shows mostly at the bottom of your pictures. If that is so, I would love the device, although I already have two and actually need a workhorse for pdfs. But the black looks to good to be true, just as it was with some Sony-Readers.

One of the things I miss the most from the Kindle Keyboard was the progress bar that would show up at the bottom of the page, and had tick marks to indicate chapters, so that you had a visual representation of how far to the next chapter...
This picture shows the reading progress popup for Kobo epub (kepub) books on my Glo, I guess the Aura will be the same or better. Sideloaded epubs don't have the popup, but show the percentage below it.

The glare is from my crappy phone and overhead chandelier. I didn't have the flash. And my phone is actually pretty great as a phone just not as a camera.

The text is not uneven at all, and there is no glare when reading, even with the light on.

In terms of PDFs, I have one that is a calculus textbook that I can read no problem without zooming, pictures and equations are great.

I hope this helps.

Calibre can create and manage shelves on Kobo readers, but I don't use this feature myself. I find it much faster just use the predictive search function: start typing the series name and tap it when it appears in the list of predictions. This gives a browsable list of all books in the series, similar to a shelf listing. But you can have Calibre automatically create a shelf for each series if you prefer.

Problem with your pictures reflecting overhead lights is lighting should be indirect or at 45 degree angle so direct light can not reflect from screen into camera lens. Despite this reason your able to get usable picture is none glossy eink screen greatly reduces reflection. Your pictures are far from great but usable, informative and appreciated.

or Tags, or Authors or even all of them if you want. I think you can use any Calibre column(s) you like, including your custom columns.

I agree, the problem isn't so much the crappy camera phone but the actual photographer They need to make a camera that makes up for lousy photography skills then I would be able to take decent pictures!

Thanks for that info, GeoffR. That's a really sharp display! I'm assuming that the only way to have kepubs is to buy them from Kobo? Or is there a way in Calibre to trick the reader into thinking a side loaded ePub is a kepub?
