I'm seeing the same thing others are reporting regarding the lighting button with the new firmware on the Glo. I think the lowest setting may now be lower than before(that's completely subjective), so my workaround is to crank the brightness up to one higher than lowest so the light button functions normally -I was using it on the minimum setting before the update. I think it'll be interesting to see if the lowest setting seems more comfortable in the dark now, or if we're all experiencing the King's New Clothes here with a little wish fulfillment thrown in?

KOBO DEVELOPERS: REAL Code Monkeys make entries in the change log... C'mon, just tell us what's been fixed you Kookie Kobo Koders and we'd know if the light was dimmer!

With davidfor's information, I figure out what is happening with the book covers.

In 2.4 anytime when you turn off/on the device all the books that are stored on the SD Card will have their book covers regenerated over again. This of course slows down the reader.

With 2.5 all the book covers are saved on the SD Card. This means the book covers are not regenerated every time when you turn off/on the device. This is leading to fast loading of the book covers.

Specifically all the covers are saved in the koboExtStorage\images directory.

I am taking the guess that the current version of calibre isn't delete the data in the koboExtStorage\images which leads to mixed up book covers.

It actually generated the covers each time they were needed. But, there appears to be a small cache so that it doesn't generate the covers if you open a book and then return to the home screen.

That is correct and what I meant to say. But, thinking back, I didn't quite say that.

Again correct. The changes have been made and should be in this weeks calibre.

have you noticed if it's now possible to augment upper and lower margins? In many ebooks the text start too close to the bezel and i have to modify the CSS property in Calibre.

Just installed.

I too think the minimum light level is lower. I too have the "light-on" bug even with the sleepcover. I noticed an improvement in formatting quality in some badly implemented epubs.

Is there any way to determine chapter progress in 2.5.0 for side loaded epubs? Does it show chapter tick marks in the progress bar on the main reading menu?

Could someone do screen dumps for the main reading menu and any progress windows for side loaded epubs? thanks.

I finally received the upgrade. Really quick download and install. The web browser now works as it should. Pinch zoom would be appreciated and a better way to indicate links on a web page. I would never depend on any eink e-reader for web access but appreciate it is possible.

No tick marks or anything. There hasn't been any change in this since FW2.0.0 came out.

Also - you can try removing the book from the reader, and then reloading it.

@Tiburyscyo: What is actually happening? How doesn't the dictionary work? Does the word get selected but no dictionary window is displayed? Or something else? Do the books have the language set correctly? And do you have a matching dictionary installed? Removing and reinstalling the dictionaries might be a good idea.
