I put my Droid into airplane mode, cutting off all internet connectivity, and had no trouble loading up apps and games from the Amazon market. So, it's not a universal problem. I've never had to relog into Amazon Market, so that hasn't been a problem either.

I'm still not sold on the Kindle Fire, but I'm heading out tomorrow to see if my local Best Buy has them in stock yet.

A present for someone. Yes it does the normal screen rotation...all works great. Landscape mode good for web browsing but I usually read in portrait mode -- just about like a paperback that way.
