Received the upgrade as soon as I enabled WiFi.
Upgraded fine, didn't lose the positions in the currently opened books. I do notice the menu navigation is faster, and had no crashes during my quick testing. |

Wow, now I'm really not feeling the love! Still no upgrade for me (I'm going the wifi route since I use ADE and Calibre to manage my library.)

I did too- and I was starting to wonder if us WiFi-only users were being discriminated against because it took so long. But I got mine yesterday when I went on the network. If they're saying it's 100% now you should get it any time.

Yeah, doesn't it though. It's probably even that much better because we waited so long. [Wait- no, Kobo, you didn't hear that!! We would have been even MORE happy if we wouldn't have had to wait!!]

I really am on the fence about upgrading.
I never turn on my wifi (use Kobo for library downloads only), and my reader is working beautifully, no freeze ups, 3-4 weeks battery life (or more), responsive (at least enough for me!) I read through these posts, and really don't see any reason for me to do it. Anyone else thinking about forgoing the upgrade? |

Upgraded 4/15 via Wi-Fi, no problems. Thanks for the GoTo, been missing that since I got my Kobo!

just got the update today, though im sending my kobo back for a replacement since there is 2 small blobs of e-ink on the screen hopefully when i get my new one i can get the update for it right away. From what i can see its a major improvement over the last version. For the lazy
New features 1-update library option on main menu on Kobo 2-go to feature which you can select a page and it goes to it, a time saver for books that dont have physical chapters which is most of my books 3 remove book from im reading list 4 click left to shut menu's so you dont need to hit menu again to shut it down 5 time zone changes, you select the country and then major city near you Last edited by wes101; 04-18-2011 at 10:57 PM. |

I just got the 1.9 (r25373 mar 29 2011) firmware!. I guess I could've gotten it earlier but I haven't launched the Kobo application in a long time (I manually load my books). Finally, the goto page feature is in and it makes a big difference in my mind. I hoped that the speed of the device would improve but I didn't notice it.
