Actually, I love the Sony PRSs. I just have a more serious list of things I wish they'd change...

For Sony, my list look like

Man, it's no wonder that it's been in hiding for so long. If I was THAT ugly I probably would have buried myself long ago.

But seriously, it's amazing that there's still animals of that size that haven't been catalogued yet. I do think that all life is beautiful in its own way.

It really really needs to include other languages.

I was showing my Kindle to my mom (who doesn't speak english) earlier today, hoping to prompt her to ask me to buy her one, but it all ended up in "meh" when I told her the interface was only available in english, as is the text-to-speech function.

1) I want color!
2) Whether color or not, I want comics. It would be nice to have something like The Complete Peanuts on my Kindle. Even better if they added manga. Most of those are black and white, I have no idea why they dont have any of these already.
3) Covers for everything. I bought two books recently, they seem to lack covers.
4) Larger selection. Im tired of requesting novels.

I think thats it really. Main thing is I want comics and manga.

If Sony had anywhere near the ebookstore Amazon has you'd be spot on.

I don't want a Sony. I'm happy with my Kindle. Sony does not offer me the Amazon online bookstore where I can find my books.

I think that you missed the main point of the thread. This is about what people who like and use Kindle, would like to include as new feature.

1. I'd like it if publishers could embed fonts in books.
2. I'd like the ability (by default) for users to use custom fonts, and be able to have more than three font options at the same time.
3. I'd like to be able to sort books in a custom order (even if it was only available when you connected your Kindle to a computer)
4. epub support would be pretty great (even though you can get around those restrictions by de-DRMing and converting files)

This would be a nice little touch to Kindle e-books, I think. There's Italic, but I can see that it's not really the same; like if you were reading a sci-fi that had some kind of alien language written. Or a code composed of some strange epigraphs, etc.

To add to my prior post...

5) Screensavers. Since the Kindle can attach to a computer via USB Id prefer it if I could just drag and drop a new folder, maybe one titled 'Screensavers' full of pictures and that would be my new screensaver. With that Id like options as well, just as if it were on a computer. Stretch the picture to the screen, leave it the way it looks, zoom, that kind of thing. I know that I can change it if I hack it but Ill be honest. I have neither the time nor patience for that. I saw the thread, its very long and Id much prefer to spend some time sitting down reading a good portion of it before I attempted such a thing. Id rather have the option right when I get the Kindle.

EPUB support would be nice but Id also like much better PDF support and honestly, any book support. HTML, EPUB, PDF, whatever it may be it would be nice if the Kindle could read it and zoom in, change fonts, basically do whatever one may need to read the book.

3. Playlists for music. I know it's not an mp3 player, but I like to listen to music when I read sometimes, especially on the train as it blocks out distractions, and being able to do that on the Kindle means I don't have to carry my iPod as well as my Kindle (and my mobile phone, and my Blackberry...)

5. I DON'T want a touch screen, unless it can stay the same quality as now, and won't pick up fingerprints
6. The left hand page turners to be near the bottom of the side of the device, so that I can turn the pages more easily with the cover still attached (can't reach them when the cover is on, which I use for lighted reading at night)

I really dislike how the Kindle opens a book at what it believes to be the beginning of the text, rather than the actual beginning. I want to open a book and see the cover, not the preface or first chapter.

The ability to organize the books in collections in whatever way I choose is one that I have gotten used to and feel is a necessity with larger collections. Putting a notation at the end of the title is the best that I can do at the moment, but it does not replace a user defined ordering system.

I would like to have expandable memory as well. The K3 has a good amount of internal memory already, but it would be nice to not have the barrier at all and to be able to sideload onto the device via an SD card rather than through USB connection.

I have to also ditto the complaint about the buttons wearing down too easily, my "Menu" button looks worn down already, so I can only imagine how the rest will hold up over time and regular use.
