I should have noted that I did use the smallest font size for those tests, and I also have the margins reduced slightly to give more text per line; hence I would expect any performance difference to be exaggerated with my setup.

I updated, since the reports that article mode is still working.
I don't see any changes in performance, fonts or otherwise - maybe I'm just not that observant... . Custom screensavers et al still in place, as Niluje etc. reported. |

I did not notice any change between 3.0.2. and 3.0.3, but both were noticeably faster than 3.0.0 and 3.0.1.

But I didn't have any real problems to begin with, besides my Kindle being unstable in the beginning, when I loaded a lot of books. Especially the browser got better, but well: who need's a browser; I need a good ereader and that's what I've got. ![]() ![]() |

I just wanted to point out that many of the people who say the fonts are fuzzier are using the san-serif font. I use the serif font myself, but looked at the san-serif font after installing 3.0.3. I does look fuzzier to me. Don't forget that the update page says, "After installing the update, please share your feedback with us at kindle-response@amazon.com. We look forward to hearing about your experience and appreciate your feedback." I'd encourage you to email them.
Although in the past, with some various issues, I've felt that people were being overly nit-picky, I must say that the san-serif font really does look worse to me. I don't use that font, but I still want the option to use it (and have it look good) and I feel for the people who do use it and are upset. |

I'm going to stick with 3.0.2 as my kindle is working perfectly since this update. 3.0.1 reduced the frequency of the random freezing and rebooting incidents and 3.0.2 eliminated them. It works so well now I don't want to change anything.
