"Battlestar Galactica" finde ich eine absolut geniale Serie. Ich kann übrigens die sehr gute Blu-ray-Box aus England empfehlen (ich brauche nur englischen Ton und englische UT). Vor einiger Zeit traf ich auch 2 Darsteller aus der Serie (James Callis (Gaius Baltur) und Leah Cairns ("Racetrack")).
Fange in Kürze die 4. Staffel von "Sons of Anarchy" an, auch eine ganz hervorragende Serie. "Game of Thrones" verfolge ich, muss mir noch die 2. Staffel zulegen. Freue mich, im Juli in London Peter Dinkelage und andere aus der Serie auf der London Film & Comic Con zu treffen. Bekam die erste Staffel der kurzlebigen Serie "Life" geschenkt und bin gespannt auf die. "Homeland" (mit demselben Hauptdarsteller) steht noch auf meiner Einkaufsliste, aber da ich nur auf physikalischen Datenträgern zuhause gucke, warte ich die Veröffentlichung weiterer Staffeln ab bevor ich mich mit der Serie beschäftige. "The Shield" kann ich im übrigen sehr empfehlen, eine ganz hervorragende Cop-Serie. "Fringe" finde ich auch sehr gut. Warte, dass die Blu-ray der 4. Staffel günstiger wird und die 5. und letzte Staffel erscheint. Fans der Serie kann ich das sehr schöne Buch "September´s Notebook" empfehlen; eine Art Notizbuch des einen Beobachters, ein prächtiges Buch. Die beste Serie von allen ist aber "Breaking Bad", die toppt alles. Ein ganz hervorragendes Ensemble an Schauspielern, eine genial erzählte Geschichte wie jemand langsam auf die schiefe Bahn gerät, spannend, dramatisch - vom Feinsten! Ich kenne viele Serien und dies ist die beste! "BB" ist einfach der Hammer! |

Nach 7 Jahren Unterbrechung ist es endlich soweit. Ich bin eben aus dem Flieger gestiegen, um mir umgehend im amerikanischen Internet die niegelnagelfrische 4. Staffel der besten Comedy-Serie (mindestens) aller Zeiten anzusehen.

Ich schaue gerade die 3. Staffel von Doctor Who, dank Lovefilm, die gerade 7 Staffeln der neuen Serie ins VoD-Programm genommen haben.
Leider hatte die Serie wenig Erfolg in D, so dass es die Staffeln teilweise nur als teurer UK-Import gab, umso mehr freue ich mich jetzt alle Folgen sehen zu können. Last edited by hamlok; 06-24-2013 at 02:32 PM. |

Ich habe gerade Capote gesehen, die Hauptrolle wurde brillant von Philip Seymour Hoffman gespielt, der dafür verdient zahlreiche Preise sammeln konnte.
Der bekannte Autor Truman Capote stößt beim Lesen der New York Times auf einem Artikel, der von einem brutalen Mord an einer ganzen Familie in Holcomb Kansas berichtet. Spontan beschließt Capote zum Tatort zu reisen, um daraus eine kurze Geschichte für den New Yorker zu machen. Daraus entwickelt sich jedoch viel mehr, Kaltblütig, der Roman, der sich daraus entwickelt, wird zu einem der ersten dokumentarischen Romane und einem großen Erfolg, läßt aber auch deutliche Spuren bei Capote zurück. Dies wird zugleich sein letzter abgeschlossener Roman sein. Warum haben wir eigentlich beim Buchclub keinen Capote nominiert, geht doch gar nicht. So recht warm , bin ich allerdings mit Capote als Person nicht geworden, muss mir aber das Buch wohl doch irgendwann mal vornehmen. |

Ich habe gestern Ziemlich beste Freunde gesehen. Ich habe wahrscheinlich bei den Lobeshymnen zuviel erwartet, netter Film, bleibt aber weitgehend oberflächlich.

Ich fand den Film auch überbewertet. Das lag aber bestimmt wie bei dir auch an den zu hohen Erwartungen, die ich aufgrund von Kritiken und Berichten von Freunden und Bekannten hatten. Ich fand ihn auch nur "nett".

Ich habe mir gerade Die Wand angeschaut. Eine Verfilmung des gleichnamigen Romans von Marlen Haushofer, den ich allerdings nicht gelesen haben. Der Film hat mich sehr beeindruckt, ist aber sicher nichts für Jedermann, so mancher Rezensent spricht von gähnender Langeweile. Er folgt keiner Logik, es geht allein um den Menschen zurückgeworfen auf die Natur, nur einzelne Tiere, darunter vor allem ein Hund, sind die einzigen Begleiter in der Einsamkeit einer Frau auf einer Bergalm. Es gibt keine Hoffnung, nur ein Weiterleben, damit muss man als Zuschauer erstmal zurechtkommen. Schön, dass es solche experimentellen Filme noch gibt.
Er gehört aber für mich sicher zu jenen Filmen, die ich nur ein einziges Mal anschaue. |
