^ It's a publisher sale, not Kobo specific. I believe their audiobooks are only playable on Kobo's android/ios app, or the newer ereaders with audio support (Libra 2, Sage?)

If you care about access to DRM-free files for audio, Libro and Downpour (and possibly still Google Play and maybe a few more) are options.

If you are a heavy amazon user, you might prefer Audible (your amazon login works/ is already integrated there).

If your library uses Hoopla, I'd suggest exploring that too, as they seem audio heavy. The nice thing about Hoopla is that there are no holds, unlike Libby/Overdrive.

Thanks so much for the info. In general, I don't like it when I have to use someone's specific app, but OTOH, I already have the Kobo app on my phone to read books, so if the same app does their audiobooks, that's not too bad. Or I may forego my Kobo discounts and get from elsewhere. I do like being able to download DRM-free.

The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire has always maintained its appeal to both the general public and scholars. Its sheer scale is daunting, encompassing over a millennium of history, covering not merely the Western Empire from the days of the early emperors to its extinction in AD 476 but also the Eastern Empire, which lasted for another thousand years until the Turks vanquished it in 1453.
