Dear Uncle DS,

Thanks for the cool balloon. It’s lots of fun.

Uncle Poohbear doesn’t like it much though. He seems to have a problem sitting next to the crocodile and keeps squirming around. We keep telling him to stop moving or he might tip the basket. If he doesn’t settle down soon (and stop singing) we are going to tie a bungee cord to him and pretend he is a yo-yo.

It’s time for us to head home now. We’ll visit again soon though....really soon.

Dear Spawn,

glad to hear you're having fun. Don't be too hard on the chicken, but don't worry too much either. I think he secretly enjoys all those mad capers (see how he is voluntarily playing the yo-yo for you - would he do that if he wasn't having fun?), and he always survives.

Of course I would gladly have you for another visit, but there isn't anything here but the old cave. I think you could have much more fun with Jo's garden (I hear she is a keen topiarist) and her collection of vintage film star autographs. And library addict tells me his library needs rearranging - wouldn't that be a barrel of laughs?

So why not take your time while I order every Spawn protection I can find in the ACME catalogue clean up and make all the preparations for you to enjoy your next visit?

The library is mostly digital now, though there are a few 100 print books left as well (about half in big plastic tubs).

Sadly when I moved to my new house I had to downsize my book collection (first before packing up the old house in Vegas, and again when I got here). So sad, but thankfully digital books don't take as much space.

You may come and arrange the library alphabetically if you wish (it is currently organized by author and date published). Or you could do so by color (though I really don't get the why of that). I simply ask you do not organize all the books with the spines inward so you cannot see the title or author. That is just wrong on so many levels.

And don't mind the dog. He likes to bark sometimes, but rarely bites.

I'd love to have visitors, but fortunately I'm about to depart on a year long world cruise. The mansion will be closed so the staff can have a well deserved rest.

I do believe however that after repairs, the dragon's lair will soon re-open for the season. The dragon has proven to be a most accommodating host and has guaranteed that he'll work 24/7 to ensure a truly relaxing time. Guests are given a bell upon registration - just ring it and he'll come running. Your every wish will be his command. The lair is highly recommended by spawn everywhere.
