It's raining again.
Last night, during the storm, there was a big gust of wind and right after that it started leaking from my ceiling. This happens once in while when there's a very strong gust of wind and it's raining, it pushes the water underneath the window in the roof or something. I didn't think too much about it until half an hour ago when I heard soft ticking again. I can't see the leak, it must between the outside wall and in inside wall. Either the window has opened a bit (isn't leaking fast enough for it to be blown open wide) or a roof tile has moved. Now I have to nag for my father to go check it, the problem is that he isn't fast to repair/check things if it doesn't directly affect him. Normally I like it when it rains at night, not now. I'm hoping it'll stop soon but it doesn't look like it will so it will be a long night. |

Rain, wind, and yet more rain. Almost like the Ray Bradbury Short story...

There is another typhoon off of Okinawa, but if all goes as expected it will move west toward Korea rather than north towards us. I'm tired of typhoons.

Almost shivery this morning (61 F).
We're heading into the first phase of fall weather for the Carolinas - high 80's to 90 F but very low humidity. It's the last window of time to finish yard work before phase 2 arrives = cold rainy windy. Last year phase 1 lasted about a week. Phase 2 morphed into winter in November. Who knows what awaits us this year? |

Smells like rain but not actually raining (?). Cool (70's) and gray. Forecast says isolated thunderstorms later.

I suppose college football isn't a meteorological phenomenon, but it will keep me inside tomorrow until the storm passes all the same.

Lovely pre-fall weather here. 80ishF, clear and sunny. Its been cooling some, though not yet crisp in the mornings and leaves are starting to fall, though no colors as yet.

Off-and-on raining. It was raining cats and dogs, earlier (think I saw a lemur or two, too).
Vegas needs the precipitation. And it helps cool things off. The missus says "Great weather to have a baby" since she's due tomorrow, but has been itching to poo out that baby for at least 2 weeks now. |

I thought I was crazy (no comments from the peanut gallery, please...LOL). It was cool enough to have our windows open last night, but I smelled smoke all night. So strongly that I got up a couple of times to see if I could see where it was coming from, but never saw anything. This morning I get up and the Chicago Tribune was saying that smoke from the Pagami Creek Wildfire clear up in MN is being blown down here. At least I wasn't having olfactory hallucinations, LOL.
