Don't we turtles know how to travel through time but we don't do it because every turtle that did it disappeared due to the splitting-timeline rule* of time travel?

*When you travel through time the time line splits at the moment you arrive, the original timeline where you left, and the new timeline where the time-traveling you exists. From the point of view of the original timeline you disappeared and never returned. Further, you can never return to your original timeline. For further information see the book "The Man Who Folded Himself" by David Gerrold.
