I should note that Montsnmags Enterprises has investigated limb-detachability and discovered that, both theoretically and practically, all limbs are quite readily detachable. The lab has now moved on to investigation of reattachability, which seems to be a bit more complicated (who could have known that nail guns and duct tape weren't the universal fix-alls?).

Just come back from a week's 'holiday'. Note to self: next time I schedule a holiday, check with family re plans for emergency surgeries :roll:

My father had emergency quad bypass surgery a day into my 'just relax' holiday, and instead of relaxing I flew to Melbourne to spend time visiting hospital rooms and keeping my mother sane. Both worthy tasks, but not exactly relaxing. Sigh.

Dad is doing pretty well, thanks. Finding everything frustrating, though, because he's all sore and weak. Having open heart surgery is kinda like spraining every muscle in your torso. Ridiculously painful recovery.

I'm mostly just exhausted. I needed a rest. On the bright side, I have 3 weeks holidays in a couple of weeks - last week was meant to be a pre-xmas relax. Meh. And you know the funny bit? Our whole family was going to visit just after xmas anyhow. Not like he needed to stage a medical emergency just to see me!!!

Here's what you did wrong: Emergency contact phone numbers need to connect with a local escort service. That way the fam can't bug you with those actual "emergencies."
