I managed to get 2 hours last nite so I'm improving. Thanks for the tips Zelda but they are somwhat flawed for my lifestyle . 1 hour before bed no puter, no tv, no alcohol and no cigarettes - that just makes me itchy, not sleepy But again, I know you mean well. My body just isn't build for healthy and sensible lifestyle.

Breaking in new keyboard/trackball. We made a spur of the moment trip to Naperville to pick up a computer case for Chris, and while we were at a computer store...*grin*. I got a new Logitech corded keyboard and a Cordless Trackman trackball also from Logitech. Been a fan of their computer peripherals for many years. And more importantly..I got SONIC!! For those of you not in the US, Sonic is a fast food place with carhops (probably the last chain that uses them.) I got addicted to Sonic when I lived in Texas, but the nearest one to me now is over 40 miles away. So this is a great big hairy deal for me .

I still prefer the above to the personal ones like yours though - the personal, "real" ones tear up worse parts than just the body.

youch!! I hope youʻre ok, and feeling better soon!

I am perusing fitness and health books. Iʻve decided I really need to change my (our) diet. Iʻve got *way* too much information in front of me now and Iʻm trying to figure out what to do. I wish I had more time to cook, but leaving at 7am and coming home (with three kids) at 7pm doesnʻt give me much time. I should do crockpot meals in the morning, but I never seem to find the time. I do get up at 5:15 or so to work out before I leave.

So if anyone has tried and true recipes (easy, please! Iʻm a little challenged and I never follow the recipe, but I usually approximate it!) and sites theyʻd like to direct me to, great! Iʻm particularly interested in vegetarian type meals with legumes and such as a main ingredient.

So thatʻs me, now. Oh, and I still need that maid...

Argh, your nighmares make me squirmish! The fungus one, you described in detail before, and I remember shaking while I read that post!

And I really do like the shovel a lot!

Easy trick to escape that: prepare your meal the night before in the ceramic pot, put it in the fridge, and just put in the slow cooker in the morning. Works miracles with anything but the meat your have to brown before cooking.

Hmmm. BetterHalf does that as well (leaves things at the bottom of the stairs). The result is usually a demonstration of why I was never considered for a gymnastics team.

Here's hoping you're better soon.

hm, i don't have a slow cooker so i can't help with that, but here is a site i like for vegetarian recipes. i've only made a few of them, and some of them are more work than i feel like putting into a meal, but many of them are really easy (she will also tell you, which ones are easier) and what is nice is she often proposes alternate ingredients in case you can't find something, or to modify it for your personal taste, and she also gives tips about what recipes you can make in advance, or freeze, or such. and if she gives a recipe which you can make a lot of, she gives tips for different ways of preparing / accompanying the leftovers so you don't get bored after 3 days of the same meal. http://www.101cookbooks.com
