Snake:

Snakes are elongate, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears. Like all squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. Many species of snakes have skulls with many more joints than their lizard ancestors, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads with their highly mobile jaws. The recently discovered fossil Titanoboa was 15 metres (49 ft) long. Snakes are thought to have evolved from either burrowing or aquatic lizards during the Cretaceous period (c 150 Ma). The diversity of modern snakes appeared during the Paleocene period (c 66 to 56 Ma).

Most species are non-venomous and those that have venom use it primarily to kill and subdue prey rather than for self-defense. Some possess venom potent enough to cause painful injury or death to humans. Non-venomous snakes either swallow prey alive or kill by constriction.

ARGH! so I spent 2 hours of my visit with my aunt in the ER. my leg swelled up and my thigh got hard as a rock. it turns out that I actually tore my muscle in that fall I had a few weeks ago. so I'm back on crutches and non weight bearing *sob*

Sorry about your luck KK. Did they give you any information on how long you would have to use them?

Sure! I like that! I can take care of the flowers and the vegetables. I can weed, move trees, whatever! I can take care of animals too! Carry the horses out to pasture, put them back in the stalls....right side up! Yeah, they don't like it the other way! I'll be good help! Strider can keep an eye on me!

Why would it delay like that? Doesn't make sense to me.

yeah it was. I tend to be kind of stubborn and I was bound and determined I was going to gut it out. I just couldn't take it anymore
