It's raining now as the edge of the typhoon approaches. It's moving very slowly though so there is a good chance that it will loose a lot of energy before the center gets here. Gotta be a bit careful on my bike today, and get all my chores done before tomorrow. THAT will be quite the storm!

I've already moved the plants on upper shelves on the veranda down to more protected spaces. It won't do to have 'flying oregano' or 'airborn rosemary' in the height of the storm. I'll pick up some fresh food today, and a few more candles, and we'll be snug as a bug in a rug!

Sun, lots of it. It's a nice change from my previous address. Although, 33C is a might hot for me.

@Stitchawl: hope everything survives the storm. I was always fascinated, but pensive when the storms rolled through St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador when I lived there.

It's always possible, but it's quite rare... Perhaps I remember losing house power 2-3 times in the past 20 years. However, trains lose power often here, so commuters may be in for a long ride, and the trains are the backbone of daily transportation.

Thanks, Homes... At worst some plants on the veranda may blow over. If we were closer to the coast it would be different, or in a private house that could suffer from tree damage. But being up on the 6th floor of a solid building we'll be OK. Unless I go out to ride my motorcycle...
