My mum did the same. So having told her for years I wasn't going to have any, I called her up about 10 years back now and told her she was a grandmother. It took me a good 15 minutes before I could explain that she had grand kittens, not children

Recuperating from reclaiming my dining room. For some reason, it's the "catch-all" room in the house. When we get a new gadget, where does the box go? In the dining room. When we come home from buying groceries, where do the bags go until the things are put away? When we move something and then have nowhere to put it, where does it end up? In the dining room. I'm just hoping it stays reclaimed until after Thursday's dinner.

My humble apology for not getting more Red out the door. It's been like the Hangman in Blazing Saddles. "I'll got two men down with the flu, and it's utter chaos here."

Will be with family the next few days. Probably won't be back to writing until Saturday at the earliest....

hey! I just discovered something cool! If you click on your *own* karma box (I was ignoring my fighting kidlets and wanted to see what it would do if you clicked on your own karma box on your post), it tells you if that post has received any karma! Of course, the post I tried it on had zip karma, but thatʻs ok! Iʻm really just in it for the education....

Probably you all already knew that, but i thought it was cool! of course, now that the kids have finally settled down a little teensy bit, I am feeling reckless. I wonder what else I will discover....

Folks, is anyone a .NET programmer? I have a manual aimed at same, which is using 'numberizing' in a way that seems horribly inappropriate... is this bad english or good jargon or both?

That sounds so painful I had to google it - which suggests it's both bad English and jargon. The second hit had this gem in the snippet though:
