77F, very very cloudy, thundery and rainy...and the National Hurricane Center has put a big yellow highlight over us with the note of a 20% chance of 'something' forming out of this mess. Oh, goody.

So much for getting my shot of the final shuttle launch tomorrow.

Ditto! We had monsoon rains - flooded all the roads - there was standing water 4-6" deep at the intersection where I turn into the subdivision to go home! These storms developed and stayed in place - dumping rain for hours!

Looks like we're due more storms today. You gather the animals, and I'll build the ark. And ditto to the 300% humidity. It was stifling this morning at 5:30a when we left the house. All the glass windows of my firm were completely steamed over on the outside.

The radio just announced it... It's officially the 'End of Rainy Season!'
No more hot, humid, and rainy! Now it will just be really, really hot and very, very humid. Oh joy.

Continued incredible humidity levels this morning. Couldn't open the deck door for the morning cat sniffing ritual. Back door frame now swollen so opening the door releases an ungodly creaking sound.

More hot & humid - with afternoon storms dumping incredible amounts of rain in one location.

[Hey VR - I think we're getting all the rain you didn't get this year! All in one week!]

They're all here! We get these "pop up" storms - they develop and stay in one place - dumping 2-4 inches of rain on one location. A few miles away - still dry.

Maybe you should drive over and get them. I think they're lost!

I seem to recall that Pooh - the real one, not our resident fake (but loveable) chicken Pooh - had at least limited success in convincing the bees that he was a raincloud. Maybe we could stuff our resident fake (but loveable) chicken Pooh into a balloony contraption and send him aloft to have a chat with the real rainclouds.
