20 degrees celsius and cloudy. Perfect! (I'm really bad with hot weather, and I have a lot of things to do around the house today, so I don't mind that it isn't sunny).

It has been a strange weather day. This morning, the smoke from the burning Glades down in Miami-Dade was drifting in. Then it blew somewhere else and the midday was beautiful, so I sat out by the pool and finished off the Hiaasen book. (thanks for the recommendation cCovingtoncat!) then it poured down rain, but then has been slowly raining all evening.

Nope! Had just finished dinner & was planning a walk to break in my new shoes - started thundering & pouring rain. Now it's like a sauna out there!

Maybe tomorrow night - unless we settle into a evening storm pattern.

It is absolutely freaking beautiful out there today. The ocean was flat and warm, and little orange fish swarmed my feet. I think they liked the red toenail polish. Cute! Ticklish!

Eww ick! It was nothing like that! Just sweet orange fish, about 4 or 5 inches, nibbling at my toesies. Not roiling masses of black minnows like in the video!

^ tons of people in this part of the world swear by this. Seriously! Think remoras and sharks - the fishies eat the nasty microbes and dead skin off your feet. And some women swear that pedicures somehow last longer after this sorta thing [no idea how that could work].

It is very ticklish! I kept giggling and twitching, but they came right back each time. I can't see that they did anything for the rough skin, so maybe I need some of those aquarium-cleaning catfish to give my hooves a good working over?

Speaking of fish, the one thing I do miss about Florida is the tons of Tilapia we caught. The "boys" would take the boat out on the lake and come back with 4 coolers and the entire floor of the boat full of fish.

Weather: Not quite as blazing hot as it has been, but still quite warm. Lovely, though, sunny with blue skies.

Smoke is drifting up here to the Ga coast too, apparently from some wildfires in N. Florida. It was very smoky tonight right before dark. I don't care. I'M AT THE BEACH!!
