oh my. that's quite an image. i wish i could have gone to a few wild parties with you. i'm betting they were quite memorable. if you've got any photos of the reckless patricia of the mid 70s i'd LOVE to see them. (i'm now trying to imagine you dressed in flares and a flowery shirt made from hemp, with a headband. it's not easy. )

dreams, i WISH people would give me some really nice old furniture !! all the stuff i have i either bought or found in the street (most of the best stuff i found in the street). a few bits i made myself.

Fighting a bad mood - tanked a quiz for school, still not understanding Accounting, and just found out I don't get a phone upgrade til October instead of February like we thought.
However, I have lemon-pepper chicken in the oven and it smells great - maybe eating will help my mood.

I have one exactly like that from my mom! Well, had one. I think itʻs somewhere in AZ in storage still-- we didnʻt ship any furniture down here. That must have been the "in" thing- to cut down road dining tables into coffee tables. I spent a lot of time eating pizza off that one, both as a child and as an adult.

Zelda ~ I will definitely let you all know what I find at the CES! My husband told me there is supposed to be a fairly strong showing in the digital reader category. I'm looking forward to seeing what new "toys" I will want to buy in the future.

I have my Grandfather's grandfather clock! It is beautiful and has a small brass plate on the inside of the clock door with my grandparent's names and the date they purchased it. If there is ever a fire in my house, it's the only thing I want to make sure gets out of the house. All the kids pics are already scanned and secure, so the clock is the only valuable inanimate object in the house.

I will pass it along! The past two Sundays we have gone to a sports restaurant in Fairfax to watch the games. Today was particularly fun because we were the only Bengals fans in a room liberally peppered with Steelers fans (Ryleigh asked me what they had been "stealing" ). My husband has started talking about going to the Superbowl and hoping that the Bengals would play the Saints there. I don't think my heart could take it, especially since I would love it if the Saints won. My brother already has a Superbowl ring from the last time the Cowboys won the Superbowl so I would love it if my nephew would get one. Anyway, if either the Saints or the Bengals make it to the SB, we've already decided to go to the game.

Personally, I want it to be Bengals Vikings with the tiggers strumping Bret Favre soundly. But that may just be me...
