If you bought any books during the time period (2011 - 2013 I think) from Penguin, Macmillan, Simon and Schuster, Harper Collins and Hachette you should be eligible for the credit. Random House was the only large publisher that was not involved in the case. It also did not apply to any self-pubbed books or books from smaller publishers like Samhain.

Amazon's process is seamless but I don't know how the other online bookstores handled it.

So I called the Attorney General and Class Apple E-book Settlement number today.

The woman I spoke with was able to give me the amounts my checks will be for, but only one check was labeled. The Sony check only covers about half the books I was credited for the last time. The other check covers 14 books from unknown retailer.

She took down all of my info and said they would investigate why both the Sony and Kobo are not for all the books covered the last time as well as why the other book stores are totally missing.

I know just under half the money is better than nothing. But I am disappointed they somehow aren't paying for over half the books I got last time around.

I don't think I received any money in 2014 at all so I'm probably not getting any this time either. None of the publishers sound like any I've bought books from.

Hard to concentrate tonight, the police are congregated at the end of our block. Apparently there was an arson fire last night in the trailer park at the end of the block and across the road. Body found and now a missing 5 year old. They have one end of the street blocked off and are searching trailer to trailer apparently.

I need to find something to buy before the coupon no longer works. All books on my wishlist are too high priced so help me out please.

Sourcebooks has a number of couponable sale romances at the 99 cent to $2.99 mark, from their Casablanca imprint. Some of them are novellas, and a few have been offered free in the past, but a lot are full novels in assorted series, mostly contemporary and historical, and maybe you can fill some series gaps if you liked the freebies? There's about a dozen at each price point, from the looks of it, and clusters of stuff by the same authors.

ETA: Diversion Books also has a bunch of old school backlist reprints at the 99 cent mark and up, and sadly, they no longer give us freebies, so it's probably worth looking at their Kobo listings, too. And maybe ePublishing Works!, too, who've got a bunch on sale at 99 cents (some previously free), but mostly at $2.99 which seems to be the regular price for most.

I'll go look see. Most Sourcebooks are at the library but Diversion and ePublishing Works are two I have bought from in the past so there may be something there I want.

Edit: The only thing I saw was not in the price range well book two was but book one was $7. No way I spend that much on a new author. Back to searching.....

I was at work all day. Watching the earlier news conference from today, they interruped my soap for it.

Glad they found the girl but it's just so horrible to think about what she went thru in the 24 hrs that that pedophile had her. They haven't released the victim's name but this is a fairly small town (everyone knows everyone) so the name is pretty much common knowledge around town.
