in attachment is putty.log file. Hope it's useful. Maybe kobo touch(es) differentiate for Wi fi hardware or something else. Hope someone else with kobotouch wich doesn't need x-y swapping could post the same log.

Hi

This works great on my Kobo Glo, except that when I put the device in sleep it does not go to sleep when KoReader is active. Is this a limitation? Is there a way to make it to respect the sleeps mode?

Great addition to Kobo arsenal. Thanks for the work.

I thought that suspend was working on all but the AuraHD? I have a version of suspend/sleep that works on my AuraHD but it is very unofficial. It works by making a couple of changes to one of the .lua script files. It is best to use "Notepad++" http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...58187178,d.b2I to read and edit Linux script files. The file is: .\.kobo\koreader\frontend\ui\uimanager.lua

The parts that I change

input_event == "Suspend" then
local InfoMessage = require("ui/widget/infomessage")
self:show(InfoMessage:new{
text = _("Standby"),
timeout = 1, {This I change to 0}
})
DevicerepareSuspend()
self:scheduleIn(0.5, function() {This I change to 1.5 } Device:Suspend() end)
elseif (input_event == "Power" and Device.screen_saver_mode) or
input_event == "Resume" then
Device:Resume()
else
self:sendEvent(input_event)
end
end
end
end

return UIManager

If you are using Notepad++ both numbers will be red, so they should be easy to find. What is shown above is the end of the file.

Might work for your glo, as well, if not just change the numbers back or try your own.

Luck;
Ken

Markismus; I now have an epub that opens slowly. It is an anthology that I made of 16 "Recluce Saga" ebooks, including the 16 cover images. 9235 pages at the font size I'm using.

First time it decompresses the file. After that it's odd. I have anthologies of Plato and Nietzsche and they open quick.

What is slow by the way? 2-4 seconds? 20 seconds?

You could always delete the associated lua-file in the history from windows. I have had a corrupted one due to SDCard failure and it make koreader act funny.

It takes ~30 seconds (slow count not stopwatch) after selecting it, first thing after powering up. I think all the covers may be what slows it down, I'll have to see if I can remove the covers and see if that makes a difference. Not that I am really bothered by the delay, for this one giant ebook, I know it is going to take that long and factor it in. If it were a common occurrence, I can see how it would be annoying.

Edit; I removed most of the covers and it loads in ~8 seconds. I do think the History entry is a factor though.

Luck;
Ken

Hi
I have a Kobo Mini with software 2.6.2
I installed yesterday Pbchess without problems and today I have installed Koreader but I have some problems.
The version of Koreader that I have installed is the last one (koreader-kobo-arm-linux-gnueabihf-v2013.03-762-gfc6b45e). The installation seemed OK and I could open books and I liked it.
The problem begins when I close Koreader and I go back to the Nickel front page. If I go to Library > Books> Page 2 (page 2 of the library is where the koreader.png file is) then it launches the Koreader FileManager. I still can get to the page 2 of the library if I touch the top of the screen in the Koreader FileManager and I push on the home button and it works enough well to let me open books with the kobo offcial reader or to move to next pages in the library, but I still see the text and icons from Koreader FileManager under the nickel interface and the mix is ugly.
I understand that the Koreader Filemanager should launch only when I touch the koreader.png icon, no when I get to the page of the library where that icon is.
Is it possible to solve this problem?
Should I install another version of Koreader? Which one?
Thanks,
Juan.-

I think something with the installation went wrong. Try it again, following this description and give special attention to point 10.

I guess you are right. I have reinstalled and it works well now.
It is weird because my prior reinstallation hadn't solved the problem.
Thank you.

Maybe it is only my impression but the maximum font size is not much big, it is possible to add a customize font size (in pixel as done in the Cool Reader port)?

Thanks for the fantastic work!

In defaults.lua in the koreader directory you can set the default font size to choose from for crereader (coolreader engine reader). See lines 79-81:
Code:
-- crereader font sizes
-- feel free to add more entries in this list
DCREREADER_CONFIG_FONT_SIZES = {16, 20, 22, 24, 28, 32, 38, 44}  -- range from 16 to 44

Just to report back to fellow users. The sleep function works well with Koreader for me on Aura HD. I have the 10$ case from ebay. On Christmas eve I closed the cover without logging off from koreader by accident. 6 days later when I reopened it, the battery was 81%. I think it is acceptable.

Yes the magnetic hall effect switch has been working with Koreader for a while now. It is the slide switch sleep/suspend and auto sleep that hasn't been working for the AuraHD. The work around that I use works most of the time, but sometimes needs to be "reset" by relaunching Koreader.

Yeah I updated and image rendering is ok now, thanks a lot Hawkhill!

Otherwise, is there a way to change the page overlap to some arbitrary value? And also a way not to dim the overlapped part??
