Hi Folks,

If you enjoy the harbinger of doom saga, please post a review!

THE HARBINGER OF DOOM SAGA

The Harbinger of Doom saga centers around one Lord Angle Theta, an enigmatic warrior of unknown origins and mystical power. No mortal man is his match in battle. No sorcery can contain or confound him. No scholar or sage can outwit him. But for all his skills, he is but one of us; a man, a human, who shares our faults, our dreams, and our ambitions. He boldly strides across the land, fearless, peerless, and cloaked in mystery; all his will bent on righting such wrongs as he deems fit.
Until the day the Gateway opened and turned the world on its head. On that fateful day, Korrgonn came and washed away our dreams. And his outre' realms of chaos set their unholy mark upon our world and claimed it for their own.
Only Theta and his companions see the enemies aligning against us. Only they foresee our end coming -- the end of civilization, the end of the world of man. Only they can hope to turn the tide of madness and preserve all that we hold dear.
But no man, not even our greatest hero, can stand against the Lords of Chaos and the dark armies of Nifleheim at their command. Fiends that infiltrate unseen within our ranks, that tear down our temples and our traditions; that devour us from within, unseen, unknown, unheralded, and unopposed until the hour grows far too late.
Through the murk and mist that hangs before our eyes, one man only sees true. One man pierces the veil of magic that blinds us all and marks the world as it truly is, revealing secrets, secrets of Angle Theta, so horrifying as to shatter a man's mind and call into question the very nature of good and evil.
Join us now on our journey back to the days of high adventure.

Imagine a world where death is merely an inconvenience.

You reincarnate, and you know it. So does the government, and they don't like your kind. People like you are different, think outside the box, and won't conform. Each time you live again, you still haven't changed, and they still don't like you. The final solution -- erase the memory of recurring life and send the misfits to a lonely corner of the galaxy. Dead Forever.

A reluctant hero escapes the dead forever process but suffers amnesia. What else has he forgotten, and who? A flirtatious member of the rebel team wants to revive his past, but can she be trusted? After all, her version of the past may differ, and for selfish reasons.

Guided by his dreams -- or misled by them -- the hero fumbles to reconstruct his past, but some of it he would rather leave buried.

Boomerang, getting great reviews on both side of the pond

A couple of the latest reader reviews for Boomerang. First, from Amazon US.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very, very funny, November 19, 2010

This review is from: Boomerang (Kindle Edition)
I loved this book. I rarely re-read a book but I think I may have to in this case just to be sure I didn't miss a funny bit because I was pushing through it so fast. I have to admire the author's cleverness. He has so many characters all with their own part to play and all balanced like spinning plates on sticks and, just as you think he may have forgotten one, he or she pops up in the most unlikely place. All the characters are well-fleshed out and engaging from the dog next door to the chief of the CIA. I loved them all. My favourite was Doreen. What a wonderful character. I chuckle to myself even now as I think of her. A close second would have been Paul, the teen. He was great.

I hope Mr Hutcheson plans on a sequel as I would love to meet some of these characters again.

At the price it was the best bargain ever but, even if it was full-price, I would still be counting myself lucky that I stumbled on it.

Pure gold. Thank you Mr Hutcheson for the hours of sheer reading enjoyment I got from your book.

And this, from Amazon UK, where it is currently selling up a storm!

This is a book that I will struggle to finish! I assume it's just my sense of humour but at times I had tears running down my face! This has been one of the funniest books I've read! I don't know if that was the intention, but it is,to me, first class! The Head of AABC pondering about his position was just so funny! Thanks to the author,Alan Hutchison, for a great book!

Check it out. Right now just $0.89 at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Thanks!

Hey all, The Usurper was on the Kindle Nation Daily e-book of the Day over Thanksgiving. If you're looking for something to read, or a gift for Christmas, then please check it out! Only $2.99

Ever wonder what would happen if our worst fears were realized and we elected someone who was willing to destroy the USA, even if he was destroyed himself? The Usurper is that novel. It is a fictional account of what would happen if the Soviet Union and KGB were given the chance to take down the United States from within. They use the American political system, education system, terrorism, and commit environmental disasters to achieve these goals.

The Soviet Union and the KGB refuse to let the purging of communists in the United States as awhole by Senator Joe McCarthy, and the House Un-American Activities Committee, deter them. Soviet Premier Khrushchev authorizes the KGB to embark on an ambitious, decades long plan to destroy the United States from within through the corruption of American politicians, the American education system, terrorism, and environmental disasters. Gary Jackson, the main character, is the fulfillment of the KGB plan to destroy the United States from within. They raise him from birth to hate everything about the United States, indoctrinate him, and introduce him to terrorists across the world, where the KGB dictates all terrorist attacks. When Gary is a teenager, he is sent to the United States to assimilate and begin his mission. Nothing will deter his goals of completely and utterly destroying the United States.

When the Soviet Union dissolves, he is given a choice, and he decides to continue with the mission. A terrorist organization ends up filling in the gap left by the absent KGB, and they, together with Gary, conspire to destroy everyone in the United States who doesn't agree with them.

Beyle, here: New member, grateful for this oblique opportuity. After publshing nine novels the "old way" all over the world and in several languages without a bad review, well, there was that ex-admiral in Monterey who called me a communist but otherwise..., I found myself in that special hell for the inflexiable and came late to the realization that I had better join the revolution (or else)with the rest of you. That or take up writing greeting cards.

Hence,,HARD MAN FALLING by J. D. Buchanan,, A thriller availlable at the Amazon kindle store. Rather tough, certainly violent and with a few "naughty bits" that I'm counting on making me infamous.

The story takes place largely in a world with which most Amercians are unfamiliar, the exotic society of the emerald barons of the Cordellero Oriental in the high Andes of Colombia. This is true, a few years ago the drug cartels tried to move in on them so the esmeraldos built an army and kicked the hell out of them, thirity-five hundred people died. In Latin America is is known as the "Emerald War." The emerald people may be far more educated and sophisticated but are just as ruthless as the narcotrafficers when their interests are threatened. They tend to live in two centuries, the 16th and our own.

My hero is a tough forty year old investigator, Sean Dunn, for a security firm who would rather play trombone in a salsa band in Miami but is employed (endentured) by a beautiful, reckless, wealthy Palm Beach woman who wants him to go down there and retreive her husband. It appears he's ready to marry the "Emerald Queen., a twenty-eight year old woman who wears a gun where no man will find it and rides every morning with her wild vaqueros, then in the afternoon runs a vast empire. God only knows what she does at night. She is brilliant and ruthless.

Sean is contemptuous of the Palm Beach couple, detests the man he is to rescue and has no idea what he is getting into, a world of clans, plots, assassinations, gun battles, treachery and sexal intrigue. First he finds himself in the service of the Emerald queen, Constanza Linares, a woman who may or may not have killed her own father, and then in love with her himself. A first time for him and devastating

If you've read this far you're a brick. Thanks.

Rubies and Other Gems - the Novel. On Kindle. Women's fiction with a time-travel twist. Now on sale for a limited time only. .99 US, .74 UK

Lily’s life is in the pits. Her husband dismisses her concerns, her children ignore her, and she’s had a trying day in traffic. It's little wonder she seeks comfort in slumber, unaware her grandmother’s rubies have transported her back through time to a saner, safer existence.

When it finally dawns on her that her dream lover is a real man who lived and died years before she was born, she fears her marriage may not survive her unintentional infidelity. Still, she’s entranced by the simpler nature of times gone by and can't resist going back, but only after imposing strict rules of conduct on herself.

When a miscalculation keeps her away longer than planned, she's confronted by an angry husband on her return. Aware she can't make amends and steer her children in the right direction unless she stays in the here and now, Lily vows to leave the past to the past.

But in her attempt to take away the jewelry's power, she inadvertently sends herself back without her return ticket, the rubies. Now, she worries that she may not even have a family if and when she returns from the past.

Thanks for reading and I hope you'll give it a try.

Buried below the local woodland, something had begun to tunnel up… Within hours, Holburn suffers a drastic transformation as invasive, bizarre plant-life infest the town, the population and wildlife transform into rampaging, blood-thirsty beasts. A handful of survivor’s battle to stay alive and search for answers
