Problem with conversion_options['tags']

Hi,
I'm developing a modification on the pagina12.recipe. I'm writing the method parse_index(self) to dynamically modify the tags in the map conversion_options['tags'] like
self.conversion_options['tags'] += ',some_new_tag'

The recipe works very well from console with the command
ebook-convert pagina12.recipe pru.epub -vv.
When I add pru.epub from calibre gui the tags are update as expected but if I add this custom recipe into the gui (with "Add custom news source") and then "Fetch news", the tags aren't updated (only appear the defaults ones "Pagina 12, News").

What I'm doing wrong?

If you want custom tags for a recipe you can add them using the GUI. In the Fetch news dialog use the advanced tab to customize the tags for a recipe.

Yes, I know this.

There is any way to add tags from a custom recipe?
Perhaps modifying the conversion_options attribute?

The GUI uses the tags specified in the GUI to override the tags specified in the recipe itself.

Maybe it can be improved upon, but it will have to do for now.

Recipes for Huffington Post and Glenn Beck

Political Package: new recipes for The Huffington Post and Glenn Beck. These sources both like to complicate things, so I zipped them together ;-)

politicalpackage.zip

About Glenn Beck: It sort of works, but if some intern there finds yet another way to abuse html markup it will break on the articles where they use said abuse. See the comments inside.

About HuffPo: it is not finished yet. The formatting is a bit rough for one thing, but I'll keep working on it. I will also add more feeds soon.

[EDIT]Ignore the .ico file in the package[\EDIT]

I'm having a problem downloading the Toronto Star using the recipe that came with my Calibre install. The message I get is:

Failed Feed: News

(10054, 'An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host')

What can I do to resolve this?

Can anyone help me with a recipe for either:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Seriousf...ngByBrentRiggs
or
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Seriousf...ggs?format=xml

Everytime I try, I either get the titles with nothing in the link to each title, or I get a lot of junk at the end of the article with big clunky type and such. I am not very familiar with any kind of coding, so my skills are pretty basic. I tried to copy some of the other recipes for feedburner.com, but haven't had much luck.

Any help or pointer would be appreciated.
