S. will be fine, it is just a matter of broken down communications stuff, I am sure! Had the same problem 9/11 with me best friend. We were all scared to death as he had his office on the 86th floor. Turned out he took his mom to the doctor in the morning and was thus out of the fire line. BUT he could not get the messege through for a couple of days. So, I would only start to be really worried after the weekend. For now its just concern a good wishes.

Mariage Frères Tzar Aleksandre I was told this is the tea the Tzar himself choose to introduce to the French in 1814... who knows? I am old but not old enough to remember.

Looks like the melanges des thés are not described where they come from. Only the straight teas. Which is fine for me as I am able to buy with their shop in Galeries Lafayette and am told by their staff. I guess it is fine for you also as you only drink straight non-flavoured teas which come with a thorough description and is a pity for those who buy flavoured teas online.

On the other hand the flavoured teas are reasonably priced and whole leaf. This is more than most other companies offer.

I am reading a tea book by Michael Harney with tons of weird descriptions. Teas according to him can taste like spinach, leek, roasted chicken skin... I am not so sure, if I really want to try them after reading this...

I don't know. The flavouring is done to mask inferior qualities. Considering this why should they say which it is. They have a quite thorough searching system on their website that states i.e. the time of day this tea is recommended for. When the Tzar Aleksandre is recommended for evening I know it must be low in thein and thus has to be a Keemun... For those who are well schooled in tea this is enought and for those who are not they don't care anyway.

The unflavoured teas are described very well. I should think this is good enough.

Pooh: Do you or anyone on the Mod tea have a way of contacting Stitchawl. 8.9 is a damn scary quake and tsunamis make it that much worse. I lived through a bunch of 6 pointers and a 7 pointer and that was more then enough to make me never want to go through anything worse.
