Question regarding KU (please let me know if I should post it somewhere else):
I bought a book a few years back. It is now on Kindle Unlimited and with free Audio! Is there any way to delete the purchase and then repurchase with KU to get the free audio?
I am thinking of deleting the book from the Manage Your Books list?

I'm a bit confused. If you have KU, then don't you have access to the audio? I didn't think KU item required individual separate purchases. That's kind of what "Unlimited" means, no? The fact you happened to have the book already shouldn't change anything.

Apparently not (that I can figure out). I purchased it for Free in 2016. I cannot now borrow it in KU. Free Audio only in KU. I wonder if I delete it from my book list if I can then borrow it in KU? Wondering if anyone has tried this?

Yes. That’ll work. Just keep in mind that you don’t “purchase” KU books; similarly, audio from KU is borrowed and if/when you stop your KU membership you’ll also lose access to the audiobook as well as the ebook.

If you want to keep the audio, you can generally purchase it for cheap through KU and then you do own if for good. Also, you can probably restore the purchase if you want, if you return the book to KU or quit, by calling CS and asking.

  How long can I listen to a title?
  
  All digital rentals provide a minimum of 30 days to listen to a book from the time you initiate your first download. With some of our longer books, such as Atlas Shrugged (63hrs), we extend the listening period to 60 days. You do have the option of purchasing a 5, 10, or 20 day extension after you have made your rental purchase.

  How many times can I listen to my rental?
  
  You may listen to a rental as many times as you would like until it expires.

  Can I extend my rental time period?
  
  Once you are logged into your Downpour.com account, you can purchase a time extension for any of your previous rentals via THIS link. After clicking “Extend Rental,” you have the option of purchasing a 5-day ($1.95), 10-day ($2.95) or 20-day ($4.95) extension. If your rental has not yet expired, the purchased time will be added onto your rental. (Example: if your rental has one day remaining, and you purchase a five-day extension, you will now have six days total before your rental expires.) If your rental has already expired, the extension will allow you to listen to your book again for the amount of time purchased.

  Can I have the same rental on more than one device?
  
  You may listen to your audiobook rental on as many personal devices as you own. Your rental time will be synced across all devices on which you have installed the Downpour app.

Might it be worthwhile to call them FIRST, before you delete anything? They might be able to rig it to work. You did already purchase the book, and you do have KU, so it's just a technicality that keeps it from working right now.

I'd call first, and try to make it work!
