I sometimes charge my Aura (original) using an Apple iPad 10W adapter. It works fine.

USB devices should only draw the current they require from the adapter, so an adapter should never be able to overload the device. But this does assume good USB implementations in the device and the charger...

I had Kobo Aura H20 over 30 days, but I did not like the slower browsing, loss of optical density of 2-3 letters page turns.
Whilе, Kindle PW3 - is retained even after 10-15 pages and more (without refresh), with very good quality of the text.
I dislike refresh every 5 pages
PW3 be refreshed each chapter - 10-20 pages and more

In Aura H2O - I liked it there very evenly / flat (no shadows, Blick) backlight, which in PW3 is worse.

Does improved display compared to the last model (AURA H2O)?

What are the main disadvantages?

Hi guys, i want to tell you my bad experience with this KA1 (forgive my english)
I bought the first one at the day one (6th September) but the unit had a defective LED (always turned off), so the screen had a big shadow at the bottom. Replaced it, the second unit had a very defective battery (it lasted 2 days reading almost an hour per day, even if i solved the auto sync bug). I replaced this second unit, and took the third one.
At the beginning, no problem with it (even if the battery lasted almost 6-7 days with new fw 4.1.7729), but after a month the same LED of the first unit, stopped working (i know, it's absurd).
I bought an Aura H2O at the end, and this is a pity beacuse i sold an H2O just 3 months ago, in order to buy the new Aura One.
It was my fourth kobo, after a Glo, An Aura HD and the H2O, and i never had problems and troubles before. I loved Kobo and now i am very frustrated and I think I will stay with H2O for a lot of time

I just transfered a kepub book to my aura one with calibre today but when I click to this book in my reader then the reader restarts itself.. what can be the problem and how can I solve this issue? Thanks..

Was the book a kepub originally or did you use the TouchExtended driver or other Calibre plugin to convert it to kepub? If you open the file in Calibre's editor and use the Check Book tool, does it show any errors?

I've had issues with ebooks that were not even close to the epub standard on a few occasions which is why I now use Sigil with it's FlightCrew and EpubCheck plugins to check before I send any ebooks to my ereader.

As another possibility, if you have the KoboUtilities plugin installed, try using it's Check Database option to see if you have any database errors.

Reading on my iPad is no fun out of doors on a bright day and it disturbs my wife when she's trying to sleep at night. So, I started looking for an ereader that was larger than 6 inches and wasn't tied to one ebook format. Enter the Kobo Aura One. I read loads of reviews and was about to buy it when I realised from watching a page turning demo on YouTube that the dreaded black page refresh business I remember from years back when trying out an early Kindle was still around.

I looked into this and learned that the Kobo Aura One has a refresh setting of between 1 and 6 pages. I also learned that other, earlier Kobos had been 'modified' by their users to only refresh after, say, 99 page turns, without noticeable loss of definition.

Does anyone know if this is, or is likely to be, possible with the Kobo Aura One?

Yes, this is easy to do on any modern Kobo.
