The chart's easy to use, you pick a starting point (Rincewind/Death/The Watch/etc.) and read the books in order from left to right following the solid lines. The industrial revolution ones are only loosely connected until you get to Going Postal. That and the two following ones star Moist von Lipwig. The previous ones have different lead characters in each one.

Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Book 9) is currently $1.99 in the US

I really enjoyed the early Anita books although as the series goes on it changes with increasing sexual content. It's been quite some time since I read these books but I think this one was still on the side of more plot than sex and therefore worth buying although you probably need to have read some of the previous books.

It is the 9th book. So yes there is probably sexual content. I think it was the 6th book that she lost her good girl self.
