I appreciate your response and I understand your position. The unofficial build seems to be working but If I could get my hands on an official 4.x release (which I will backup 3 times ) I would be very grateful.

hello, I have a kindle touch 7 entry-level model, the one with the screen at 167 ppi, I would ask if the kindle comic converter can also be used for this model, in particular I would like to use the kcc to read manga, if the answer is yes what settings should I use for conversion to mobi, which model I should choose from the list?

Yes. "Kindle" profile support all 167 ppi models newer than Kindle Keyboard.

@AcidWeb: I've built manga for Kindle DX Graphite with the CBZ output (because the other formats Hybrib MOBI and EPUB seem not work with the lastest firmware of KDXG 2.5.8. It is still perfect. How to make metadata for CBZ to display on KDXG? How to make ToC for CBZ to "Go to" on Kindle DX?The buit-in comic tagger of KCC did not work. Kindle DX has not "Go to" option for CBZ. Hope you could help me!

Kindle CBZ parser don't support those features.

Additionally DX don't support KF8 MOBI.

Please pardon my n00b question, but I seek your help with one issue. I have some comics scanned into PDFs. They open fine via Acrobat or other PDF readers, but I wanted to convert them to a format that is compatible to my Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. I first tried Calibre to convert them to either MOBI or AZW3 formats, but the output was disappointing; since there was no specific output profile for Kindle Fire HDX in Calibre, I used the 'Tablet' profile. Sadly, the comic book pages output to a larger size page in MOBI, which made the comic book page overall smaller.

Searching on the net for a little bit, I came across your Kindle Comic Converter. It was mentioned somewhere that Kindle Fire HDX support was added since version 3.3 (and the current version is 5.0.1 that I have). Nonetheless, I could not determine what the correct output profile ought to be, since Kindle Fire HDX wasn't an option in that list. I tried the Kindle PW, Kindle DXG and Kindle output options. The resulting MOBI looks very nice, crisp and rightly sized and all... But my color comics pages are turning to black and white.

I am sure I am making some mistake somewhere. Could you please help me? Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi,
I use the last version of KCC on El capitan.
Each mobi i create and upload from Calibre gave me an error in my kindle paperwhite 1 (firmware up to date).
Error can open the mobi and after that the kindle freeze.
Config in KCC is Manga mode check and strech/upscale check, Kindle PW 1/2 and MOBI.

The sample Ubunchu PW work fine.
Any ideas ?

@damson - Try uploading to Kindle directly without Calibre.

@suirauqa - Kindle Fire support was dropped as there is no real reason to convert content there. I suggest to not use PDF and MOBI format at all. Convert everything to bare images and use: http://www.amazon.com/RookieStudio-P.../dp/B005XN0SGU
