I suspect he's going to wait for the chikkin to tell him to go for it, because those books, that sale, and that chikkenabler are surely too much for one person to resist, right?
Whom might you be referring to?

[P.S. Amazon has a new list of 100 books under $3.99 - for the non-chikkins amongst us]
[P.P.S. I only bought 2!]

It doesn't count if you buy a book and then finish it immediately, does it? (even though the book I was reading is pushed back for it...)

Because I finished that book I bought yesterday. If you want to train your laughing muscles, you should buy it, it's hilarious!

I got 28 books for an average of 2.14 per book. No will power to resist 60% off (and an additional 15% off the new items).

I too did not have any will power. I gave in! I bought 9 books during the sale. The only good thing I did was not buy more. I really wanted a lot more, but just bought the ones that I will read soon.

I was doing so well! I've jumped right back into the land of YES.

I've got to do better.
I've got to do better.

I succumbed too. I bought 10 books, for 22 dollar. Then this weekend, I bought Carina Press titles for 12 dollar.
But I saved money. I saved 40 dollar on Fictionwise, and 15 on Carina Press.... But I'll save even more if I stick to the library for the rest of the month.

A 60% off sale is very hard to resist. I suspect I only managed because I succumbed earlier this year, and bought about 100 books in a 60% off sale. There's not much left at Fictionwise now that I want! (My fictionwise bookshelf has 1375 items on it.)

There isn't a power in the 'verse that can stop me from buying ebooks. I have 1200 books on my TBR list. I will probably be buried with my Nook.

Goodness me, you do sound like you need our help. But the important question is, do you want to stop buying ebooks?

If you do, you need to make a resolution. You don't have to stop 'cold turkey' - that's very hard indeed. Some members find it helpful instead to go for a resolution like "I will not buy more than one ebook for every three I read on my TBR list".

And then, if the urge to buy comes over you, try to take the time to post to this thread about it. Often, merely the act of posting will enable you to resist the temptation of another ebook.

Welcome to the thread.

A couple of ebooks that turns out to be four or five? You do have it bad.

Do try to post here before buying those ebooks. You'll find it helps.

Actually, the bad thing is that that "e-cig" thingie has preference over books!

And also, are those books related to each other or not. I mean, if you have a series and you're missing 5 books and you decide to finish that series so you buy all 5, in my eyes, is not as bad as buying 5 completely unrelated books...

I think it's worse! Too many series tank. How many people read Feast for Crows or Dance with Dragons and said, "I'm done."? Or got fed up with Wheel of Time? Just for two examples. The books aren't going anywhere. Unless it's a fabulous sale or a bundle, why not wait until you're ready to read the next one?

You see, that's a good reason to stop: "I could buy books instead!"
