I signed up for ebates a few years ago and they send me a check 4 times a year, if the amount is at least $5.00.

It's worked for me in Canada, too, but nowhere else.

This is pretty great; ebates hasn't had a Kobo discount for a while and most recently it was only 5%.

Thanks to all who contribute codes and all the other useful information on this thread. It is unbelievably helpful - particularly to 'newbies'.

And thanks in particular to bgalbrecht, as I managed to snag one of your 75% codes. I was able to use this for 5 books on my wishlist (love that multi-tabbing 'feature') before it stopped working for me. (I assume someone else used it at the same time.)

I suspect that the distribution of codes is truely random, it's just that truely random data doesn't 'look' random.

Off to see if ebates works in the UK at all.

Yeah, agreed. I don't really see a pattern here; even if I have seen several 75ers (or 65ers, or anything else really) happen in a row in the past, it's definitely rare enough not to draw any conclusions from. Every draw is separate, and having just drawn a 75er doesn't reduce the chances of getting one on the next draw.

2 contests ago, I actually kept track of every code I drew to see how my distribution matched what Kobo claimed. It was pretty much dead on, give or take a few percentage points.

Actually, with his last post he had 30 75% coupons and 45 65% which is the exact ratio 2% chance of 75% and 3% chance of 65% off. (3 is 50% larger than 2, 45 is 50% larger than 30).

He must be just entering the contest a lot: probably 1500 times. Thank you so much for your hard work for us bgalbrecht!

Now, I just need one more precious 75% off coupon and I can quit... I swear, just one more. Just one more and I'm done, I need this book called "Chasing the Dragon".

You can use quidco in the UK, although the tracking is a bit flaky.
