Its Halloween night and I'm handing out candy to the little ones in the neighborhood.

They are so stinkin' cute! I'm happy to see the parents waiting on the sidewalk and watching carefully.......

We didn't have many trick or treaters out, but those who were really looked great! And like DGma, the parents waited at the end of the drive, keeping a very careful eye on things.

And right now, I'm making a start on NaNoWriMo. Just over 500 words so far tonight!

Iʻm done with the three soccer games we had today (one I had to ref, one I had to line ref, the other one I just watched as much as possible. Oh, and I had snacks today too! fun!!!) and now weʻre getting ready to go out and go trick-or-treating!

Halloween really snuck up on us. Doesnʻt feel like it should be here yet... I think one of my kids might still be costumeless!

You must live in a much better neighborhood than I. Here the parents stand about 5 feet behind the kids.

NO trick-or-treaters in this stinkin' place. I was a little disappointed, to be honest - it's about the only time I get to be nice to strange kids without people looking at me oddly

I'm doing the glorious job of writing uni assignments. I can't wait until the semester of over for me...break for 1 week then summer school starts *yay* NOT!

We hardly had any trick or treaters this year. My friend had to bring her daughter over to our neighborhood because hardly any houses in her neighborhood were giving out candy.

I don't know if it's because Halloween was on a Saturday, the weather was a bit inclement or the economy is still so bad. Oh, and our parents were a mix. Some came up to the door with the kids and others stood at the curb. Ryleigh had fun, though! She hardly eats the candy anyway and just likes to go up to the houses and great everyone.

Very few trick or treaters in our area.. mostly neighbor kids at about 7:30 (only about 15).

Later it was teenagers.... LARGE teenagers...(OK, granted I'm not very big and only about 5'1"... but still, it is scary to open the door and have to look up..even when I am standing on a threshold that is another few inches higher than them, and I'm also wearing heels for that last few inches of height

). I just turned the light off when it became mostly groups of very BIG kids with NO parents..

Kaz, what a little cutie Ryleigh is!!! I like that the top of the witche's hat is something other than black. Did she have fun? ****and did the mommies score some good candy, too?****

Dreams ~ She did have fun.

She was a "Candy Corn" witch as that was the least "witchy" witch we could find to satisfy both her and I. I wanted her to be "cute" and she wanted to NOT be too cute! As for candy, we have a huge amount of candy leftover from our own stash thanks to the low trick-or-treater turn out and since Ryleigh isn't a real big candy eater, I planning on sending a lot of it to work with my husband. I can't keep that stuff lieing around whispering my name.
