We are waiting. Hopefully after Pres Obama is gone, the National Guard will finally let us in, now at day 3. Our neighbors are all dead, 9 found, 4 still missing as of last night. The news has been kept out, no pics yet. It is the Concord community site in Hueytown, Ala, when it finally gets open for news. It is the worst place in the state, total news blackout. I'm sending PM's with contact info to a few folks here, KennyC, Betty, and pooh, in case you want to talk to us.

Our cell system is down, with the towers being destroyed. I can get incoming calls sometimes. We will check in here wherever we find a place with wifi coverage. I love you all.

OMG. I'm so glad you guys are okay. The devastation is horrible. And your neighbors....OMG. You guys were lucky and blessed and did the right things apparently.

Obama came and left. Then FEMA took command from the sheriffs. Meanwhile, the cadaver dogs found 3 more bodies, and it will be at least tomorrow before we can get in. We hope.

Church groups are setting up food pavilions for all of who are waiting.

KK, thanks for the article. That was taken from a helicopter, because the news vans are not even getting throught to the command center.

We had to show our ID to get past the first checkpoint. Then you go to the 2nd checkpoint, where you show your ID again and they issue you a card to show. That is where you stand for hours in the sun, hoping to get in.

It will be a long time before we stop hearing the screams for help coming from all around us after we dug ourselves out. A man broke down our door because we were trapped inside. Then he was gone, trying to find the next people. I don't know who he was, but pray thanks to God for him.
