I get two copies of the chapter URL which are then dedupped when update starts.

I wonder if AO3 has settings to send different things in email notices for different users.

I'm not seeing anything about email notifications in the settings, except disabling emails for gift fics. They do combine notification emails sometimes, I think it has to be the same author at least.

Question: On AO3, sometimes authors use pseuds identical to the main name, 'abc (abc)' How would I replace_metadata to automatically remove the bracketed part when it's duplicate?

Are you removing the '#' chars before browser_cache_path to uncomment it?

FYI, I do not see 'duplicate story' messages from duplicated story URLs when updating from AO3 emails.

Both. A line beginning with a '#' is commented out and ignored.

The error indicates that you don't have a correct value for browser_cache_path set.
