Thanks much, being out of college finally I'm finding it strange to have a choice in what I read again, its almost overwhelming!

Another good mystery with characters from The Secret of Chimneys. This time I failed to se the obvious. Sigh...

Next: Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. I got this when a bundle of Pournelle's books were on offer at webscriptions, in October 2008. (They're still available, but as individual books for $4 each.)

I'm sure I've read this before, but it's quite fun to re-read it.

Just finished the first two Jo Nesbo books with the main character of Harry Hole; The Redbreast and Nemesis - really enjoyed them and looking forward to getting stuck into the next one (The Devil's Star) when I get home from work.

I really enjoyed Lucifer's Hammer when I first read it way back when. From what I remember I didn't enjoy the follow up book as much.

Finished The Hunger Games. Am probably the last person on earth to have read it. But I was absolutely horrified/tensed out to the max by the novel (in a good way). I am hoping the rest of the trilogy stands up to this one.

Finished a short novella this morning by T.A. Pratt (Tim Pratt), Bone Shop. It's a prequel to his Marla Mason Urban Fantasy series. While I really enjoyed the story telling, the book felt like a bunch of short stories stuck together. This one and his last Marla Mason novel (Broken Mirrors) were self-published and available with a donation button (which seems to to have worked well for him). There's a couple more prequels available online and I think I'm going to be reading more of the novels.

Just curious, but I thought these books were aimed at a young reader market (so were Harry Potter, I guess, and look where that went...).

Sounds like they are suitable for an adult market as well?

I started reading "The Keep - Jennifer Egan" Not bad so far, it's quirky like me. I started "Joan of Arc - Mark Twain" a couple of days ago, Once I am done with The Keep I will go back to that.

Actually, I am still in the process of reading it. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm glad to hear so many folks loved it.

Thanks, dreams. I wasn't aware of that, but I'm not too surprised.

I haven't read it yet - although all the hype is making me want dip my feet in. Your Dust is the next on my list though.

I'm sure you'll love them! I thought the second book was a little bit weaker than the first, but Mockingjay more than made up for that! I recently read them and thought they were awsome. I immediately recommended them to my sister, who read them in a couple of days and liked them as much as I did!

It depends on how mature you are Seriously, they're a little more mature than the (first) HP books, and definitely suitable for adults as well. Highly recommended!
