			me, one of the first iliad buyers (order number 512) we had to agree to use pre-release firmware. at the time we had a choice between irex or sony for an eink device. |

			Sorry to hear these sad news. Though it has given me some blues, my dr1000s still beats many devices on the market, if not all, based on my requirements.  I can't say they've done the best I'd expect in terms of software updates etc, but what they provided at the end was (and is) still better than many giant corporations. Now I have to hope that my dr1000s does not break down again. Or else I'll have to look for a replacement, which I still do not see around. Plastic logic device is still to become available, and none of the new devices offer the combination of large screen + pen annotation + e-ink. Really bad news.. |

			Well, I knew of iRex products before I visited this forum, but it was the activity and contributors [including iRex developers] here that persuaded me to buy the DR800SG.  And I'm very glad that I did --- nothing else out there is really as satisfactory for my purposes.  And if I could find another one, I could easily find a colleague who would buy it.

			did they overshoot there hand? i don't know. i am glad i bought a couple of those DR800SG devices. for us still fantastic. took them on the 2 week trip and enjoyed it. question will be if they can manage to get something going again. they should lower the price though, but it should work. |

				I "repaired" my Iliad (black lines problem)

			So now Irex is bankrupted. I wonder if when someone take over the company, will the device that I sent in to be fixed will resume the repairment and be given back to me? I am trying to be optimistic here.  Any idea? Thanks |

The device that you sent to iRex is still your property (as long as you can prove it), not iRex's, you should be equitable to claim it back from iRex with the liquidator's or bankrupt-administrator's consent. However, how can we repair our iRex devices without iRex? Added: Have you got the refund before iRex went bankrupt?
