for PDF files goodreader can't be beat. it's fast, can handle large documents just fine and has a ton of nice features. for ePub files I prefer iBooks to Stanza. but both choices are pretty personal as you'll get as many answers as people you ask on here.

But I must say that I do agree with the above comment...
iBook for reading eBooks and Goodreader for all my PDF... That is unbeatable ! ![]() |

Does anyone know how to change the background color of the highlighting function in goodreader? I changed it to a somewhat dark color and can't see where the access to the color options are anymore. thanks

Once you have highlighted something, go back and tap on the highlight (select it). A menu will pop up with an option named "Color...", select the Color option and use the color wheel or the fixed options to go technicolor on your docs.
As so many people have already said, Goodreader is one of the best apps for PDF file power-users. Here's a link to the official Goodreader usual manual - you need to hit this site if you really want to use GR to the max: http://www.goodiware.com/gr-man.html Last edited by Moonboy242; 11-22-2010 at 10:32 AM. Any hope Goodreader will ever do ePub as well as it does PDF (which is quite well, IMO)? I'd love to be able to have my library in one app supporting both formats.

![]() I had to leave mine back home, but desperately needed a reader here. Considered the KDX/pocketbook/E.Edge etc., and decided, ipad is currently the best, basically because of GoodReader. |

I would buy an iPad in a heartbeat and read all my PDFs on it just for the sake of being able to, but it's hard enough to shell out 140 dollars for a Kindle!

Saving Annotations: IPad / GoodReader
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to transfer annotations from a PDF file, onto an updated version? I emailed GoodiWare and they said it wasn't available at present, but they were looking to introduce this feature. I need a recommendation on a PDF application for the iPad, and for a laptop, which will allow you to somehow export or transfer some/all annotations to a new version? I have been told this is possible? Any help would be appreciated? Lesley. ![]() |

I really like Goodreader and i dont regret buying it (especially for its additional features like downloading content etc) however PDF is not fast or fluent.
I use it to read Cisco PDFs and they are much more fluent in iBooks than in Goodreader - messing with different engines in the settings from GoodReader didn't help =/ |

But my favorite method is to use iPhoneExplorer. It's free, and allows you to manage books in subfolders. Good luck! |
