Thank you. I was the number four on Linux x86. beta3 is even faster.

My sigil folder looks a bit heavy though: 234 megs (calibre 98 megs). Is this qt or QT?

Everything in the Sigil temp folder after Sigil is closed is junk. Sigil does a good job of cleaning up after itself, but it can't do that when it crashes .

I've been planing to add an item to the installer/uninstaller that deletes that directory, so that every time you install a new version of Sigil, any leftover temp files are cleaned up.

Or are you talking about the install folder? If you're complaining about the install size, it's all Qt. On Windows, it's much smaller.

It's just about Sigil, not about /temp or install folders. Never had a crash either. As far as previous installations are concerned, I just installed 0.2 beta2 and then yesterday 0.2beta3.

Here is a screenshot: on the right the /opt/sigil properties and on the left what's inside /opt/sigil.

Just to know if it's "normal"

Have been using 0.2.0β3 for a few hours now. Everything seems to work perfectly on Mac Snow Leopard.
Thanks very much, Valloric!

Sigil itself (the executable) is just a few MB. On Linux beta3 is 2.6MB. Everything else is Qt, and on Linux the Nokia provided Qt binaries are huge since they statically link to everything to reduce dependencies.

But why are we even having this discussion? Do you really care if it's 50 MB or 500MB? Hard drive space is ridiculously cheap these days. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the install size, or intend to spend any time trying to reduce it.

OK. Thanks for the explanation.

But please, keep a sound sleep, Sigil is fast, stable and working very well.

Just switched to 0.2.0b3 and man, all I have to say is "WOW." A lot of lovely new features that wasn't in 0.1.9.

Bet the final release will be just as good

a little suggestion:
the old version converts - f.i. files made by Atlantis in *.html - in xhtml, when saved.
The new versions let the names and formats as is - html in html...
But when I split an existing html-file in beta3 - a new file(s) in xhtml come up, follows the cutted file - an with another name.

is it possible to add an action by klick, that renames all included files like the old version (content00x.xhtml) - it would look better and would be easier to handle the file out of sigil.

Where do you see the true file name except if you unpack an EPUB or edit with Sigil?

I noticed some of my EPUB have the full title for the splits? Again why? Don't they just need to be unique and in the NOX in proper order?

It makes sence for only one person: the one who makes the e-book. If someone tells me, that there is a typo in chapter 10, then it is easy for me to find the typo if the corresponding file is called chap10.xhtml (especially now, when Sigil has no book wide search function).
