Oops. that should have been my first guess. Seems like I was too impressed by all the dials and gauges... ;-)

You could take Acrobat Standard or Professional and remove the margins automatically from all pages in a two button pressing process (document menu). I usually do that to get a better screen fit. But without zoom function PDF productivity on the iLiad is less then optimal.

Have fun flying around!

Thanks! I'll give that a try when I get the chance!

My iLiad Case

Hi,

My iLiad has finally arrived. Since I spent good amount of money, I decided to make a case for it.

Basically, I bought a notepad case and I did:
1. cut off unnecessary part
2. cut out two belts out of it
3. glue them to hold the bottom corners
4. put on Velcro tape on the case and iLiad

I'm pretty sure it break apart if I drop, but now I don't have to worry about scratching the screen at least. The only problem is that I need to use the stylus to start/shutdown.

My god-son Josh enjoyed playing with my iLiad. The case I made from an planner is working out well.

BTW: We are starting him out well. His PC only runs Linux.

You are using a ziplock bag or something like this to keep it save, don't you?

I really hope so. A 650€ Device hovering 10cm above a watersurface gives me the creeps

Oh, I don't know ... there seem to be so many ways to kill an Iliad - drop it, drown it, kick it, brick it ... or simply order it

I tend to take it anywhere I would take a book, just to try and make a point about its usefulness.

Sure, bad things could happen to it - but ya gotta relax about that, otherwise there's no fun to be had.

(Although having said that, I should probably admit that I don't let my 2-year-old play with it. That would be tempting fate...)

I bought it with 559 euro aswell. Maybe because taxes do not apply outside Europe

I also recently ordered iLiad and I seen price - 649 euro. But because I live outside Europe my final price in check out was 559 euro (and no VAT).

Now when I open iRex shop I see 649 euro. But when I login to my account and when come back to iRex shop I see 559 euro. Probably they remembered me and shows price without VAT now.

Ah, yes, that explains it. It's not really a price change, though, just that the VAT doesn't apply outside of europe.
