Well, I've been gradually buying all of Cormac McCarthy's older works in tree-book form simply because they are not available as ebooks.

Just ordered Blood Meridian used via Amazon this morning.

It's an incredible idea -- finding an artifact that when discovered broadcasts a signal. A billion possibilities from that point forward.

Contact is a classic. I've read it about 3 times already and each time I get something new from it. The movie was OK, but it differs quite a bit from the book. I'm glad I've finally tracked down my very own copy.

The Space Odyssey books are a huge bonus for me. The seller was kind enough to throw the 3 other books in the series in for free after I ordered 2001 together with the Hamiltons. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to find them in there as well. 3001 was the biggest suprise - it's a hardback in brand new condition! Never thought I would have the whole series, although I did kick myself after the auctions closed for not including them as well.

Now my only problem is to decide where to start reading. I've got a backlog of 130 PBs. Guess I'm going to have to return my library card for the next year or two!
