They're on this site. Search for 'Orwell' in the eBooks and you'll find it.

I'd like to see this thread updated, these are now available:

Watership Down by Richard Adams
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke
The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
Finnegans Wake by James Joyce
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson
The Once and Future King by T.S. White

As usual, georestrictions may apply.

Note: There are quite a few Faulkner titles up for pre-order, due for "release" on 17th August so the bigger titles such as "The Sound and the Fury" and "As I Lay Dying" may not be far behind.

Jhereg by Steven Brust.
Then entire series is great, none of the earlier books are available.

Pope Joan a book by Donna Woolfolk Cross, it's available but just not to me thanks to geographical restrictions, it's a nuisance when one can't buy a book just because i live in a different part of the world, very annoying indeed ..

Not available anywhere:

I'm impatient for Daemonomania (John Crowley) to come out. That's volume 3 of his Aegypt tetralogy. Yeah, books 1, 2 and 4 are available... just not that one. If I had to choose one book, that'd be it.

Although it's a close thing. I'm also very fond of the late Timothy Findlay's Not Wanted on the Voyage. No sign of his estate making his works available in e-format yet, though.

Oh, and A.S. Byatt's Possession. (That's practically several books in one ;-) The day it becomes available, I'll be a very happy camper!

Georestriction alert

If you're in Canada, you still can't buy The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. (Or, what's worse, We Have Always Lived in the Castle... which I like even more.) Why?

Right now lucifer's Dragon by Jon Courtenay Grimwood.
I have even purchased a second paperback copy with the intention of scanning it myself, but lack of time and a suspicion that I will get frustrated with the process very quickly has put it off so far.

The poll is obsolete. Most of those listed are eBooks.

I also believe that most of the books are available as ebooks.
A quick check in my collection reveals that I have:

Watership Down
Master and Commander
Stranger in a Strange Land
All Harry Potter books are available.

There are still books I'd like to see on Kindle that are not yet available, even if fewer than several years ago, eg. many Asimov novels, James Michener novels, Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart quartet, Koestler's Darkness at Noon. So the issue is still a live one, even if the specific examples have changed, and are no doubt fewer in overall volume.
