Seriously thoughtful Is Time Travel possible

Hey guys, read some relativity books in order get some basic concepts settled.

I know not everyone is a physicist, but in order to get a satisfying answer, please not just imagine with your way, read other scientific materials.

That is why we need an Ereader to read more science papers and books.

Purely hypothetically speaking, perhaps an increase in "distance" requirement (i.e. how far back) requires a corresponding increase in the amount of energy required? Thus, the ability of technology to come up with sufficient energy to travel further back is only developed further and further into the future, thus, the origin is moving further from the desired destination.

I think the above made sense. Did that make sense?

Flaw: stepping-stone the energy technology. Take/send the technology or knowledge of it back.

I believe the current thinking is that time travel is only possible via a wormhole, and that if a wormhole time machine were created, future people could only use it to travel backward as far as the time when it was created--no earlier.
