I understand the point between DR and DX,
DX is quite simple, no touch screen, no bookshelf management, it is easier to development and less bugs.
I will be more complians on iLiad BE or SE, It should have more supported applications from IREX or 3rd party on using WIFI or LAN like CATALOG etc.

i was emailing back and forth regarding some issues with my DR , and somewhere along , i was informed that a 1.6beta firmware is available and a final release is just around the corner , maybe next week. of course i am not sure , if our conversation with irex employee had to keep secret.
anyway , i might as well ask for the new release.

They said "quarter 2 2009", which isn't exactly a precise date to begin with. I'm sure they've been spending more time getting the bug fixes in 1.6 ready than they have in adding new Adobe functionality. That's probably a good thing.

I'm aware of that. Obviously, back in February when he said it, "quarter 2 2009" was a very rough schedule. In the meantime, since Karel said that, they've been working on bug fixes. Are you saying you'd prefer that they work on PDF/EPUB instead so that it can be ready in June and postpone the bug fix update?

I only said, that we can forget the update with the epub-support, which was promised for the second quarter 2009. There was no valuation in this statement.

I strongly suspect that the only noticeable thing they've done is fix the pen bug. A 10% increase is nothing, and they've probably not included a suspend-to-flash mode

Yes, suspend-to-flash mode was not in the listed feature of 1.6 release. Better pen calibration neither.
