Just a little update what the house looks like now for those of you who don't follow our blog regularly.

The pround owner is sitting in front of it of course...
We are standing on the opposite side of the road by the way, our garden is not that big unfortunately...^^

wow, it looks like a real house, and everything ! if i were you i would be going crazy with excitement, waiting to move in. it looks gorgeous. but holy cow, those german dogs are huge ! watch out, if he keeps growing, he might step on the house and crush it ! already he will never fit inside, so i hope you're planning some sort of hangar in the garden for him to sleep in !

any idea when is the move-in date ?

Solid looking house CommanderROR and thanks for keeping us up-do-date.
Any possibility of getting possession before Christmas?

It looks as though the owner has aged a bit since this all started. You can't really call Bellini a puppy anymore. You can tell who is going to be master of that house.

Also, congrats on 2,000 posts.

WDE.

How long does it take to build a house in your country? Here it would have been finished in 3 weeks. Are you at least living in it?

It takes between 4 weeks and several years...
Ours should be done by the end of January. I have seen several "Fertigteilhäuser" near our place, but somehow that approach never really appealed to me, so we went with the traditional brick-and-mortar approach. Also, while the frame of the house is done quickly if you build it from wooden prefabricated parts, it still takes quite some time to do all the inside work, cables, heating and so on.
Building with Cellar also eats up a lot of time, especially if it has to be watertight like ours...

We'll move in around the end of February if everything goes according to plan and at the moment it looks like we might manage that deadline. The original deadline was mid-december, but that was pretty unlikely anyway...

Well, if make everything from wooden logs... It takes, what? one week to cut the tree? And one week to stack those trees and one week to finish the inside!

Our house will be done in 7 years... And we only stripped the inside!
