I reckoned the Kindle Paperwhite wouldn't be to your taste 🙂.

That’s not saying you can’t take the whole space but look at what you actually need to hold it and hit the buttons. The wedge is that wide because of the board inside which can easily be moved to the main body of the ereader with lines out to the buttons which would then be on a much slimmer board.
If the butten wedge was made less wide, then the buttons would be in the way. There'd be no way to hold the Reader and not have the buttons in the way. The only way to slim down the button wedge is to move the buttons to under the screen.

I like the design of the PW6. It's the same design as the Kobo Aura H2O and the PW5.

I could live with buttons under the screen if the bottom bezel was relatively wide, so that the device wouldn't be top-heavy and difficult to hold.

I know the T1 was easy to hold.

I have to say, I do understand the ergonomics of the Libra Colour. The extra width just isn't for me. Now please stop taking about it before I come to like it and buy one.

For anyone who orders from Kobo's Canada store, they have refurbished Libra 2s available. They are priced at $199.99 Cdn (~$146 US) and come with a free sleep cover. They also show Nia's as available.
