We are so different. I bought the Viwoods Reader for the form factor, the ability to make calls, the price (246.49€ on sale on Amazon) and the fact that it's Android 16. I wouldn't have bought it with a lower version for that price (maybe for 200 Euro I would have). Plus I was curious how Viwoods has adjusted Android compared to Boox or Meebook. Well, the Viwoods apps are best to be avoided, especially their reader app (called Learning). But since it's Android I can use KOReader and Librera anyway.

How much did you pay for the Pocketbook Inkpad X Pro? For around 100 Euro I may have bought one too. But Andoid 8.1 in 2024 and paying >100 Euro? Never.
Like I wrote "Regarding the Android versions we obviously disagree."
That's totally fine. Everyone has different needs and expectation and of course different amounts of money to spend.

Once again: I don’t care at all how modern a device is, as long as it can do what I need it to.
I paid €270 for it (new), and since there’s nothing else out there, it’s priceless.
I urgently needed a tool because the old one broke (battery); 10.3 inches, Mobius and Wacom and a light - and there was nothing else available at the time, nor is there anything else available now.
And this tool does its job perfectly - everything else can not.

And regarding the Viwoods Reader: I only bought it because of its slim design and matte screen; I would have preferred the Inkpalm 5 Pro (matte screen), but I’m taking the Inkpalm 5 with me despite its glossy screen (Android 8.1) - it’s much more portable
