And that may well be true.

But I'm willing to bet that you haven't known Gaiman, probably never even met him or spoken to him.

While we're judging him guilty of being a sexual predator based on allegations alone, why not imply he's a narcissist - without knowing him - as well?

I realize it is human nature to make judgements about others in total ignorance, without knowledge or evidence, but we probably shouldn't do that.

Good grief folks, I made a general statement. Never claimed to know, met, seen, or dreamed of NG.

The 3 men I've known, who it came to light years after my knowing them, were sexual predators and users of women, were all narcissists. The two characteristics seemed to go together, in my experience.

They were also brilliant, educated, well spoken, multi-talented, charming, and complicated. Underneath those layers were layers of nastiness, meanness, and calculated retribution.

So what? Did he treat you nicely? Were you sexually assaulted by him (rhetorical) Maybe they were nice, but sometimes personalities do not mix and while your two personalities may have got on well, the next lady he dated may have had a severe personality clash. So the woman yelled sexual predator instead of coming to terms they simply were not a good match.

We can't all be the perfect gentlemen you dream of. We are human. Everybody thinks differently, acts differently, has different views and opinions. How boring the world would be if we were all exactly the same.
Why is it that some people go to such extremes to trash other people?
Does anybody consider James Bond a sexual predator? Why not? He uses his position as a high level govt employee to get what he wants.

Narcassism does not automatically mean bad. It seems to be the go to word nowadays when you want to trash somebody. Narcissism is a series of behaviours that define a person, and most, if not all, people have narcassistic traits, just in varying amounts and combination.
Yes, a higher portion of successful people are higher level narcassism. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL. They used those traits to advance themselves. Of course some sycophants try to attach themselves to that, and when it does not work out, they yell nasty things. Or other people are just plain jealous and try to trash them. [commentary on current personalities deleted - to P&R please.]

My opinion is that a certain part of society has shifted that fine line so far, that pretty much every "pick up line", tender gesture, can be seen as sexual assault or sexual harassment by someone.

For me, I can't help but see how weak minded many people are when they can quickly turn their opinions from one of friendship or admiration to one of absolute hatred just on rumours and hearsay.

Hmm. It seems to me what you're trying to say is that sexual or emotional abuse by men does not exist and is always just the woman trying to get even for being rejected. Is this what you believe?

I'm not saying that only men can be abusive or narcissistic; of course not. And there have been cases where the claim of abuse has been used as a retribution. As to Gaiman, I don't know him, so have no opinion there. But you seem to be claiming here that men are never abusive or manipulative and it's all just women's fantasy.
