Where are you copying the books to? I would suggest creating a directory in the root of the exposed volumes (call it ebooks or whatever other name you like) and copying the books into there. Avoid directories with a '.' as the first character since those are Linux hidden directories and likely to be skipped. Some other directories such as most of the ones in the .kobo directory will also not be scanned.
Did you see the black screen with the importing books bar running across the screen after you safely eject? If not, your Libra Colour is not seeing the books to import them. Please note that if your Kobo can not locate the books to import them, the database will not shown them as present when you reconnect. On the send, calibre shows them as on the device since they were just sent but have not yet been imported to the database. Where the books will be sent from calibre depends on the template on the first page of the configuration pages for the KoboTouch/KoboTouchExtended driver. My personal use template is: Code:
ebooks/{author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)}/{title} - {authors:sublist(0,1,&)} Sample would look like: ebooks/Flint, Eric/1633 - Eric Flint.epub Last edited by DNSB; 08-13-2024 at 07:35 PM. |

After installing Kobotouch348, I disabled it to prevent it using it directly instead of the KoboTouchExtended. |

I have just tried this with my Kobo Libra Colour - I can send books but I do get this error (see below). I can update the metadata which was most important though so a big THANK YOU.

Just follow the instructions and select the driver option to support other f/w versions.

Hello. I just got a new Kobo Clara BW. Unfortunately my Macbook Air is too old and can only run up to Calibre 6.29. I spent a few hours following the instructions on this thread, ended up installing Calibre 6.11, then he KoboTouch 348(1.1.0) - disabled it, so that it'll let me install the KoboTouchExtended (3.7.2).
It finally recognized the device and changed up the metadata BUT now it won't add new books. Anything added shows up in the directory when I look using finder, but when I disconnect the device, it won't trigger the 'importing content' screen. Any thoughts?? |
